A Long-Term Vision
When we focus on outcomes like equal opportunity for all and a healthy environment, and use evidence to track outcomes, we make better decisions for the long term. These outcomes drive productivity, reduce future public costs, and support a thriving economy.
Currently we lack a long-term strategy that integrates economic, environmental, and social priorities. This makes it difficult to resolve today’s urgent issues or plan confidently for the future.
I will advocate for a cross-sector, community-led long-term vision. A vision that brings together population strategy, infrastructure planning, housing, using technology to our advantage, caring for our natural environment and workforce development. This isn’t just about economic growth, it’s about ensuring our islands remain prosperous, liveable, and competitive for future generations.
A Smarter, More Agile Government
Better governance means better decision making. I will support reforms that improve communication between government and citizens, including accessible data, clearer reporting, and more effective consultation on key policy areas.
Guernsey’s political structure is not delivering the strategic direction or decision-making pace required. I support clearer responsibilities, better accountability, and stronger coordination between committees. This is essential for improving the quality, speed and efficiency of government decisions.
A Collaborative Approach to Policy
I believe public policy is at its best when it is shaped in partnership with the people it affects. I will advocate for the considered use of:

Structured consultation with business, community and sector leaders;

Use of citizen panels and expert task forces;

Open, two-way communication with the electorate; and

Evidence-led, outcomes-focused policy design.
I’m standing for election because I believe we need deputies who think long-term, work together, and make bold yet evidence-based decisions to strengthen our community, our economy and our environment. My professional background in accountancy, risk and governance, and leadership across the private, public and charitable sectors means I am ready to do this with your support. My experience has taught me to listen to different viewpoints and helped me develop the tools to deal with complicated issues and manage competing priorities. I will make decisions that are fair and recognise long term needs.
I commit to working for shared success with honesty and with a focus on evidence. I will draw on Guernsey’s strengths, advocate for smarter government, and engage with private, private and third sectors to deliver the outcomes that matter most.
